The Mad Hatter

A local bar needed an updated, premium logo that appealed to the local competitive dart community on the south side of Indianapolis as well as those looking for a great local watering hole.

To accomplish this I did some creative exploration using the character from Alice in Wonderland who inspired the name of the bar to inspire the logo and typography as well. I chose to give the silhouette of the character an oversized bow tie and a tilted hat to communicate the feeling someone might have after having a couple beers and a bite to eat. I wanted it to be warm and inviting, but also look great on the jerseys for the competitive dart team the bar sponsors. Just one look at this logo, and you know you’re going to a place where you can play darts and have a great time with your friends and family.
